Social Media Graphics, Video Editing, + More

Having spent the past decade studying illustration + graphic design, you can imagine my excitement, discovering new ways to bring these works to life through motion design. I regularly challenge myself to take on new projects, learning different techniques - below are a few of my recent favorites.

 transitions and

effects

Much like the video above, in the link below, you'll find several experiments with effects + transitions.

My "Alphabet in Motion" series began as a self-directed challenge to explore the boundaries of After Effects.

Enjoy!

 manipulation of

live video

Videography is a relatively new addition to my portfolio, but one I'm eagerly pursuing/t's such an effect medium for storytelling; splicing together video clips, combining effects + transitions, or even manually masking sections of video to highlight subject matter (as seen in the jellyfish above).

 character

animation

Incorporating my digital illustration skills has been invaluable when it comes to motion design. Before a character takes shape, it's crucial to reverse engineer joints + limbs, creating separate shapes to accommodate each movement.

In the link below, you'll find a few examples of this process.
